Farm Photos

by @ 5:04 pm on August 24, 2011.

The wordpress iPhone app is a pain to post more than one photo from. I’d like to write some text, insert a photo, write more text, insert another photo, etc. Unless I’ve missed something my only option is to put all the photos at the end, upload the post, update the app, then go back and edit where the photos are. Seems like there must be an easier way, but if so I haven’t found it yet.

Anyway, every now and then I snap a random farm picture with my phone. So they’re not award winning photos but they make for nice memories.

First up is a rainbow over the heifer barn. The other day a storm blew through and I had to shut down milking for a while as it passed. When it was over the last few ornery cows had wandered back into the field and I had to go out and get them. It was still misting rain but as a result I got to see a nice rainbow.

Wow. So apparently my problem is I’ve never had any patience. As I was typing for the second photo, the first finished uploading and the code popped into my post. Nice.

Remember those Where’s Waldo books? Where you have to find a little guy in a striped shirt amid this big complicated scene? This one isn’t quite that complex, but if you take a look you’ll see a happy groundhog out sunning himself.

This pick was a little dark, but the phone flash really washes out photos. We turned the cows out in a new field and this girl set herself in the latest fall fashion. Not complete unless you add the leaf.

Finally, I was working in the garden and came across this thing. Ern called it a tomato horn worm. Ugly thing.
